What to do if CFA update dosnt work after downloading?

Ok so i Downloaded the new CFA update but it dosnt work. it keeps giving me error messages everytime that i try to open it, its starting to get really annoying so if anyone knows what to do please let me know, since i am still fairly new to that system and have never had to update it before.

You have to update the game by hand once you've downloaded it. The update files only contain the new cards, so you must copy/paste them in the corresponding files you use to run the game.

ok so i got all the files copied over on to the existing program, but it wont let me connect to the server for some reason. does anyone know why this keeps happening?

here is what happens since im sure someone will ask:

i open the program and click on connect and then it asks me the 4 questions, for the server, the port to connect to, name, and language then it blinks and the program closes.

don't know why this is happening and its really starting to annoy me, i already checked the servers numbers and they are all correct, i don't know about the port number, since i haven't changed it since i got the program and don't know if they changed it or not (cant find it on the website).

Redownload the whole game instead of updating
