Reason of abscence

Hey guys, Shane here. I just wanted to tell you guys the reason I haven't been on lately. Well part of the reason is that I have diabetes. This is a chronic disease as you may know, and it has been bugging me since I was 9 yeears old. It hasn't been going as well as it should do, that's why I've been on punishment for a while. My parents grounded me, and yesterday marked week 5. They took away my computer, therefore I haven't been on for about the same time span.

as for your question regarding how taking away the computer as a punishment, while it may seem odd it would probably keep him from spending hours in front of a little screen eating nothing but junk food all day (not that i know if he does this and this is just a random example of the stereotypical gamer). in that regard it does help because his intake of junk food (again example) would be mitigated or at least he would have some exercise added to his daily routine which would help keep his sugar under control (along with the insulin) as our bodies process real sugar/natural sugar (like from apples and oranges) much faster than it does refined sugar (the kind found in junk foods and processed foods). the refined sugar would just sit in his system if he remained inactive after eating it so adding a little physical exertion would help him to burn through some of it and maintain a normal sugar level.
